Recipe: Protein Bites
You all are in for a big treat today because I am sharing one heck of an amazing recipe! My husband doesn’t work in a typical office setting. He works outdoors all day so he isn’t able to store any lunches in a fridge and he can’t use a microwave to heat anything up. This makes him taking food to work quite difficult and I am always looking for new things I can send with him because I hate for him to have to eat fast food every day! These protein bites have been the answer for a delicious, healthy snack option that he can take to work! They are SO easy to make, anyone can do it. You don’t need to bake them AT ALL, and they are SO good. I’m actually not a big fan of some of the ingredients so I didn’t think I would like them but turns out I’ve been eating them by the handful. They are all around amazing.
Below is a picture of all the ingredients you need to make them:
I actually traded the raisens for craisens because my family prefers those. I was thinking you could add chocolate chips or white chocolate chips in them too for a little tasty something extra.
All you need to do is literally dump everything in a big mixing bowl and mix. I found that the best way to get the mixing done is the old fashioned way. Stick your hands in and get messy!
-After eveything is mixed evenly, put your bowl in the fridge for one hour.
-Take the mix out and roll your mix into balls. Roll them however big or small you’d like them. It doesn’t matter at all.
-Place them on wax paper.
-Once all the mix is rolled into balls, you’re done! So simple, right?
-Store these protein bites in an air tight container in the fridge. If you’re taking them outdoors though, they will do just fine!
This snack may not be as healthy as eating carrots and celery (what else is?) but they are definitely a healthy snacking option compared to cookies and candy! They have great ingredients, are easy to make, and most importantly, they taste good! Enjoy!
